This retreat – 1.5 hours north of Toronto – will be a blend of meditation practice and real world exploration. There will be plenty of silent sitting and guided instruction, plus optional cross-country skiing / snow-shoeing, a winter bonfire, and hot chocolate by the fire. Smallish group, intimate conversations, plenty of time for contemplation. There is nothing more beautiful – or quiet – than the Canadian forest in winter.
In this Costa Rica retreat, we’ll alternate between dynamic movement and stillness. My co-teacher and friend Scott Davis is an integrative health and movement expert. Days will be a mix of sitting and yoga, of creative movement and play, of rest and beach-chilling, with delicious healthy meals and optional jungle and surfing excursions. Select for more.
Welcome to Meditation Retreat for Fidgety Skeptics, where it doesn’t matter how many techniques and paths you’ve neurotically screwed up – in this workshop, we start again fresh! Join me at the flashy Omega Institute in upstate New York for a fun and rigorously humanistic weekend of meditation exploration, that … gets bat-shit mystical at the end, because, frankly, that’s where the fun is.
The CEC’s sixth annual “Meditate – Celebrate – Activate” retreat is happening in July 2019. This retreat is unique for the way it builds on mindfulness and meditation practices, taking insights from the cushion and applying them immediately to interactive community good-times.
At the Lama Foundation mystery school, I’ll be co-facilitating this retreat for environmental activists and professors interested in the deep end of ecological engagement. With Zen Activist and scientist Kritee Kritee and political scientist Paul Wapner.
