I speak to groups who are curious, skeptical, stressed, or all three—offering clear frameworks, practical skills, and a humane perspective on attention and care. If you’re looking for a talk or workshop that’s inspiring, grounded, and actually useful, you’re in the right place.

Meditation, mental health, and the baffling business of being

Speaking & teaching

I use simple frameworks, plain language, and the occasional diagram to make meditation and mental health feel accessible—especially for people who don’t think of themselves as “spiritual.” There’s room for complexity, humor, and the understanding that life is often messy and intense.

My events are not top-down information dumps. They’re dynamic and interactive, with a strong focus on experiential learning. My interest is making practice accessible to every kind of person, in every walk of life. We explore short guided practices together, and share observations related to our specific situations and contexts.

People often tell me they feel calmer, more oriented, and quietly energized afterward. Also inspired to share practice with others!

Thoughtful. Clear. Surprisingly practical.

“Jeff Warren is one of the best meditation teachers on the planet”

I’m often invited into conferences, organizations, and public conversations where there’s a mix of curiosity, skepticism, pressure, and fatigue—places where people want something practical and intelligent, without being talked down to or “fixed.”

That includes:

  • Conferences and festivals focused on mental health, leadership, creativity, or culture
  • Organizations navigating change, burnout, or sustained intensity
  • Healthcare, education, and care-based professions
  • Creative and media communities
  • Public audiences curious about meditation, but allergic to fluff

I adapt the material to the room, the moment, and the people in front of me. The through-line is always the same: clarity, care, and practices that actually work in real life.

These talks tend to land best in spaces where people are dealing with real complexity.

Where this works best:

I’ve taught suspicious journalists, burned-out caregivers, corporate teams, clinicians, creatives, and people who were fairly sure meditation was not for them. I’ve taught in retreat centers and conference halls, news studios and classrooms — on podcasts, apps, and stages where attention was thin and the clock was ticking.

This work has led to books, media appearances, and collaborations with platforms that reach millions. I’m the co-author of Meditation for Fidgety Skeptics, and my guided meditations live on Calm, Happier, and Home Base. I’ve appeared on Good Morning America, CNN, ABC News, and written for The New York Times.

I meet people where they actually are — distracted, skeptical, tired, curious — and help them have a direct experience of practice that feels sane, human, and usable. Enough structure to feel held. Enough openness for something real to happen.

I’ve been teaching and talking about meditation and mental health for two decades, across a wide range of contexts.

We’re not going for perfect.
We’re going for helpful.

In fact, getting uptight about creating the ideal meditation conditions is the exact wrong training for dealing with life."
