In-Person Event

Where Meditation Leads

For all my Toronto friends, I’m doing a rare in-person afternoon teaching event on Sunday November 19 from 1 - 4pm. Would love to see you there. It’s for a good cause: a fundraiser for The Consciousness Explorers Club , a not-for-profit with the mission of making meditation and personal growth practices accessible to all. It’s being offered on a “pay what you’re able to” model; you can also join online via zoom.

Our subject: Where does meditation practice lead? Maybe you can tell ME. Over the course of this afternoon session, I'll lead practices and discussion about the different ways meditation can help us drop under the turbulent surface layer of mind (and circumstance) into the deeper stream of life just happening.

Arguably, the point of meditation practice is to help us connect to that kind of awareness or being. Through guided sessions and open discussion, we’ll explore the core skills of practice, and how they can be customized to fit our circumstances and wiring. We’ll explore some ideas about mental health, and maybe even brainstorm together about how we might create greater access to practice and practice communities.

Hopefully you’ll leave feeling connected to a larger movement of care, and excited about the creative possibilities of practice. Maybe you’ll relate to your own mental health quirks in a more welcoming and less stigmatizing way. Because understanding that our specific quirks and challenges also have their place is one of the core reorientations of practice!

Join us to

  • Learn about or refresh meditation practice
  • Build connection and trust in your unique wiring
  • Drop into a space of calm underneath the surface turbulence of life
